Biography:Chris Morgan’s stories have won the Sherwood Anderson Prize ("A Short History of Violence") and the K. Margaret Grossman Award ("Cherry") and been selected for inclusion in the Tulip Tree Stories That Need to Be Told Anthology ("Pablo Neruda and the Caffeinated Madness of Love") and the Nowhere Magazine Best Writing Print Annual ("Border Crossing to Cymru").
His writing has been published in a wide variety of literary journals and magazines in the United States and abroad, among them Mid-American Review, Literal Latte, North Carolina Literary Review, Red Wheelbarrow, Kurungabaa, and White Horses. His poetry chapbook, Beast of the World was published by Finishing Line Press in 2023. He is also the author R.S. Thomas: Identity, Environment, and Deity, an acclaimed critical study of the life and work of the modernist-environmentalist poet R.S. Thomas. He is currently at work on a novel. Chris Morgan holds graduate degrees from St. John's College, Johns Hopkins University and Aberystwyth University in the United Kingdom. He lives in Annapolis, Maryland. |
